ELLIOTT
REACH Advisor
Born and raised in outport Newfoundland, Mike Elliott earned a degree in Political Science before beginning a lifelong career in public service. After serving as a pilot and officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force, he joined the Edmonton Police Service in 2005, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant.

A dedicated advocate for his colleagues and community, Mike has served as President of the Edmonton Police Association, President of the Alberta Federation of Police Associations, and Director with the Canadian Police Association. As Vice Chair of the Alberta Critical Incident Advisory Committee, he championed improved mental health supports for first responders across Alberta.
Mike’s commitment to community extends beyond his profession—he has volunteered with Special Olympics, YWCA domestic violence initiatives, and the Terwillegar Riverbend Advisory Council, and is a regular contributor to Canadian Blood Services.
His service has been recognized with the Queen’s Diamond and Platinum Jubilee Medals and the Order of Merit of the Police Forces. Mike lives in Edmonton with his partner, Amber, and their two children, Zachary and Makenna, and remains deeply dedicated to his community.​
